The MVLP administers a free legal information line: Hours are 12:00 Noon – 2:00 P.M. Monday through Friday.  To reach Legal Line, callers should dial (601) 960-9572 or 1-800-682-6423 between 12:00 Noon - 2:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. Callers should ask specifically for "Legal Line".

Legal Line is a public service of The Mississippi Bar and the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project to provide callers with free legal information. A Mississippi attorney is available between the hours of Noon and 2:00 P.M. to discuss legal problems with callers. No legal assistance or representation is provided to legal line callers. If legal representation is needed the caller is urged to contact a private attorney or, if the caller feels they cannot afford an attorney, they are referred to the appropriate governmental agency for assistance.
