Bar Hosts the 2008 Section Orientation Session

Section Officers attended the FY 2008-09 Orientation Session on August 20, 2008. The half day program is designed to familiarize new Section leaders with their duties and brief them on resources available to them through the Bar. This year’s Session included an overview by MB President Rodger Wilder, and briefings by Bar staff on administration, governance, finance, the attorney discipline process, the ethics process and legislation. Section leaders spent time in breakout sessions discussing plans for FY 2008-09. 
 

 

Worker’s Compensation Section Officers for 2008-2009 are Pepper Cossar, Treasurer, and Betty Arinder.

 

 

 

Section on Natural Resources, Energy, and Environmental Law Officers include Lisa Ouzts, Chair, and Kelli M. Dowell, Vice-Chair.

 

 

 

2008-09 Real Property Section Officers are Paul L. Gunn, Chair, and Paul Randall, Jr., Vice-Chair.

 

 

Representing the Litigation Section are Cal Mayo, Jr., Chair; Kyle Moran, Vice-Chair; and Grant Bennett, Secretary-Treasurer.

 

 

Family Law Section Officers for 2008-2009 include Leigh Ann Rutherford, Chair; and David Bridges, Secretary-Treasurer.

 

 

Officers representing the Labor and Employment Law Section are Tim M. Threadgill, Chair; and Kaye Johnson Persons, Secretary-Treasurer.

 

 

2008-2009 Government Law Section Officers are Andy Delaney, Vice-Chair; Jon Mark Weathers, Secretary-Treasurer; and Susan Tsimortos, Chair

 

 

Serving as Officers of the Business Law Section are Bill E. McLeod, Secretary-Treasurer; Bridgforth Rutledge, Chair; and Bill S. Mendenhall, Vice-Chair.

 

 

The Chair of the Estates and Trusts Section is Mark C. Hartnett.
