Freedom of Information Reporters’ Workshop January 25

Print and broadcast journalists with media credentials from around the state will gather for an informative look at the legalities of reporting today’s news on January 25. Sponsored by The Mississippi Bar, the Mississippi Association of Broadcasters, and the Mississippi Press Association. Topics include the Mississippi Open Meetings Act and Public Records Act, Freedom of Information Act requests and requirements, copyright issues in the internet age of reporting, cameras in the courtroom, and recent legal developments relevant to reporters.
