Bar Admissions Ceremony Welcomed 65 New Attorneys

The Spring Bar Admissions Ceremony was held Thursday, April 27, at the Supreme Court Courthouse in Jackson. Sixty-five new admittees were certified to practice in the State of Mississippi. Program participants included, Justice James W. Kitchens, representing the Supreme Court; Judge Denise Owens, representing Hinds County Chancery Court; Judge LeRoy D. Percy, representing the US District Courts for the Northern District of Mississippi; Judge Daniel P. Jordan, representing the US District Courts for the Southern District of Mississippi; Judge E. Grady Jolly, Jr., representing the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; Dean Deborah H. Bell recognized new admittees from University of Mississippi Law School; Interim Dean Patricia W. Bennett recognized new admittees from Mississippi College School of Law; Michael C. McCabe, Jr., Member, Board of Bar Admissions; and John Hugh Tate, Bellwether Church, gave the invocation. Jenny Tyler Baker, President of the Young Lawyers Division of The Mississippi Bar; and Alicia S. Hall, Chair, YLD Bar Admissions Ceremony Committee, also participated in the Ceremony. W. Briggs Hopson III, President of The Mississippi Bar, gave the Admission Address.
