Bar Admissions Ceremony Welcomes 115 New Attorneys

The Fall Bar Admissions Ceremony was held Thursday, September 28 at Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson. One hundred and fifteen new admittees were certified to practice in the State of Mississippi. Program participants included, Justice James W. Kitchens, representing the Supreme Court; Judge Patricia D. Wise, representing Hinds County Chancery Court; Judge LeRoy D. Percy, representing the US District Courts for the Northern District of Mississippi; Judge Daniel P. Jordan, representing the US District Courts for the Southern District of Mississippi; Judge Leslie H. Southwick, representing the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; Dean Susan H. Duncan recognized new admittees from University of Mississippi Law School; Interim Dean Patricia W. Bennett recognized new admittees from Mississippi College School of Law; Judge Smith Murphey, Member, Board of Bar Admissions; and Dr. Steve Jussely, Lakeland Presbyterian, gave the invocation. Bradley M. Reeves, President of the Young Lawyers Division of The Mississippi Bar; and Brett A. Ferguson, Chair, YLD Bar Admissions Ceremony Committee, also participated in the Ceremony. J. Richard Barry, President of The Mississippi Bar, gave the Admission Address.
