New Free On-Demand CLE Now Available

The Mississippi Bar has released a new package of on-demand CLE available at no charge to all members. The initial sessions are available now and additional sessions will be added. You will receive links to each CLE via email after you register HERE. Topics include:

Intellectual Property, Entertainment and Sports Law Section CLE– December 6
Join The Mississippi Bar Intellectual Property, Entertainment and Sports Law Section for their “Key Deadlines Under Intellectual Property Law” Virtual CLE Seminar on December 6 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. The CLE will be presented by Jeremy Clay, Office of General Counsel at Mississippi State University; Karen Howell, Brunini; and Ben Mitchell, Butler Snow. One hour of CLE credit will be offered for $25 to Intellectual Property, Entertainment and Sports Law Section members and for $50 for non-Section members. Bridge the Gap: Rule 3 New Lawyer Program in Oxford – December 8
The Young Lawyers Division of The Mississippi Bar is sponsoring the “Bridge the Gap: New Lawyer Program” on December 8 from 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Oxford Conference Center in Oxford, MS. The MS Commission on Continuing Legal Education requires each newly licensed lawyer to complete a new lawyer program comprised of a total of 6 hours of basic skills and 6 hours of ethics/professionalism within two years of admission. This program by Young Lawyers for Young Lawyers is modestly priced at $200 for 6 hours of CLE and will feature 3 hours of basic skills and 3 hours of ethics/professionalism. All attorneys are welcome to attend these CLEs, regardless of whether they are required to complete a new lawyer program. To register, log in through the ATTORNEY LOGIN on the Bar's homepage.

Evelyn Gandy Lecture Series - January 19-20, 2024

The Mississippi Bar Women in the Profession Section is proud to host the 31st Annual Evelyn Gandy Lecture Series January 19-20, 2024, at The Lyric Hotel in Cleveland. This premier CLE for women lawyers was named for the late Lt. Gov. Evelyn Gandy, whose passion for public service survives through this Lecture Series. Registration will be available soon.

Bridge the Gap: Rule 3 New Lawyer Program in Biloxi – January 26, 2024
The Young Lawyers Division of The Mississippi Bar is sponsoring the “Bridge the Gap: New Lawyer Program” on January 26, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Hospitality Resort Management Center at MGCCC in Biloxi. The MS Commission on Continuing Legal Education requires each newly licensed lawyer to complete a new lawyer program comprised of a total of 6 hours of basic skills and 6 hours of ethics/professionalism within two years of admission. Government Law Section CLE - January 30, 2024
