The committees of the Young Lawyers Division are responsible for the planning and implementation of many of its projects. Bar Admission Ceremony
This committee's primary responsibility will be to contact Judges and Deans for their participation in the Fall and Spring ceremonies, as well as attend each ceremony.
The Child Advocacy Committee focuses on legal issues concerning children.
Disaster Legal Assistance
This committee will coordinate legal assistance in case of a natural disaster.
Diversity in the Law
This committee will encourage minority members to participate in Young Lawyer Division activities and promote minority involvement in the legal profession.
The Homeless Youth Committee aims to address the legal and even logistical issues faced by juveniles who find themselves homeless. These issues can range from shelter to education to Youth Court matters. The Committee would address these matters at forums and clinics throughout the State.
This committee will focus on judge recruitment and directing of each Regional location and Statewide competition.
This committee will plan and implement a series of live CLE teleconferences and seminars throughout the year, including the New Lawyer Program and the Litigation 101 Series.
Solo and Small Firm Practitioners
This committee will focus on issues facing solo and small firm practitioners.
Veterans Legal Assistance Program
The Veterans Legal Assistance Program is a project that will provide legal assistance to veterans, similar in style to Lawyers in the Library, but with veterans in mind.
