Statewide Mock Trial Competition Results

Saint Andrew's Episcopal School Earns Statewide High School Mock Trial Championship Title
Saint Andrew’s Episcopal School Team 2, coached by Dr. James Foley, Vicki Lowery and David Maron, won the Championship Round of the Mississippi High School Mock Trial Competition, held March 1 and 2. Saint Andrew’s will represent Mississippi in the National High School Mock Trial Competition May 2-5 in Wilmington, Delaware. Sacred Heart Catholic School Team 1 earned the second-place trophy gavel, coached by Mary Moore Conville, Ward Conville, Olivia Drinkwater, and David Miller. The following schools earned the remainder of the top six positions: Saint Andrew’s Episcopal School Team 1, third place coached by Dr. James Foley, Vicki Lowery and David Maron; St. Augustine School Team 1, fourth place coached by Brooks Eason, Ann Lowery Forster, Paul Forster, and Katie Gilchrist; Vancleave High School Team 1, fifth place coached by Laura Barnes and Katina Seymour Demoran; and Jackson Tougaloo Early College High School, sixth place coached by Catouche Body, Gayla Carpenter-Sanders, and Robert Thornton. A special thank you to the attorney coaches and judges who volunteered their valuable time to help with this Young Lawyers Division law-related education program in its 41st year.
