The Mississippi Bar’s Health Law Section will host a Lunch and Learn CLE Seminar “The Case for (and against) Medicaid Expansion in Mississippi: A Public Policy Discussion” on Friday, October 18, 2019, from 11:30-1:00 pm. The question of whether or not Mississippi should expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act is one of the top issues facing voters in the upcoming November election. In this CLE Seminar, policy experts on both sides of the Medicaid expansion debate will go beyond soundbites and campaign slogans to make the case for—or against—Medicaid expansion and what Medicaid expansion would mean for Mississippi. Richard Roberson, General Counsel and Vice President of Policy and State Advocacy for the Mississippi Hospital Association will speak in favor of Medicaid expansion. Jameson Taylor, Vice-President of Policy at the Mississippi Center for Public Policy, will speak against Medicaid Expansion. Download the registration brochure here.
