The Prosecutors Section of The Mississippi Bar will host a teleseminar “Expungements Basics and Gun Rights” on Thursday, December 12, 2019. The 2019 amendment to the expungement statute has given Mississippi perhaps the most progressive expungement law in the nation. This seminar will guide you through the many nuances that you might encounter with this new law. Time will also be spent discussing restoration of gun rights via certificates of rehabilitation. C. Ryan Burns is a former Asst. District Attorney now working in criminal defense. A significant portion of his private practice is devoted to expungements and certificates of rehabilitation.
