I hope all of you are involved inyour local bar.I wish there were room to write abouteverything the Bar has done, but space doesnot permit. Indeed, in 24/25, the Bar%u2019s committees and Sections have offered over 135hours of CLE and countless programs, sothe list would go on and on. I will just saythank you to the thousands of lawyers thatparticipated in the Bar%u2019s activities this year,to over 200 of you that signed up to work ona committee, and over 100 more that servedon the executive committees of our Sections.I would like to particularly acknowledge thework of the committee and Section chairsand the talented staff of our association, andI hope you will as well.The Mississippi Bar highlights the bestattributes of lawyers. It promotes high standards of conduct; encourages the efficientadministration of justice; furnishes a forumin which problems of lawyers and the administration of justice generally can be discussed;cultivates the spirit of the cooperation andfellowship among our members; and givesback to the community. In short, it showcasesthe noblest attributes of our profession.I am honored to have had the opportunity to represent the lawyers of the State and tohave played a role in promoting the fine workof The Mississippi Bar. Thank you for allowing me to serve as your 119th Bar President.My last act will be seeing many of you atthe Summer School for Lawyers and AnnualMeeting scheduled for Sandestin July 7-11.As always, it will be a fantastic event and Ihope you are signed up.
