Randolph for aconversation with Dean Anderson andour students during a lunch and learnsession. His willingness to visit with ourstudent body and to take the time toanswer all of their questions was muchappreciated by the students in attendance.B | We were honored to have JacksonMayor John Horhn join us to tour allof the recent updates to campus anddiscuss our commitment to downtownJackson. The mayor was able to meetwith MC Law and Mississippi Collegeleadership to discuss a collaborativevision for the future for both the city andthe law school.C | The Contracts classes of DeanAnderson and Associate Dean Purvisrecently participated in a friendly cannedfood drive competition benefitting WeWill Go Ministries. The two classes wereable to donate 667 total pounds of food,with Dean Anderson%u2019s class winning theoverall competition. We were honored topartner with this wonderful organizationdoing great work in the city of Jackson.D | Associate Professor Frank Rosenblattwas recently reappointed to a third yearlong term as President of the NationalInstitute of Military Justice. Since 1991,NIMJ has been the country%u2019s leadingnon-profit organization dedicated to thefair administration of justice in militarytribunals and improved public understanding of military justice. ProfessorRosenblatt also recently co-founded anew international law journal,%u00a0 ForcesLaw Review.E | In October, MC Law students visited historic courthouses and enjoyedthe City of New Orleans in betweentours. The day began at the John MinorWisdom U.S. Court of Appeals Buildingwhere Judge Stephen Higginson gavehis unique perspective on various topics and experiences that lawyers oftenencounter. The afternoon included a visitto the Louisiana Supreme Court Buildingwhich also houses the Chief JusticeBernette Joshua Johnson SupremeCourt Museum. The students%u2019 classroomexperience came to life while touring theMuseum where original pleadings fromthe famous%u00a0 Plessy v. Ferguson caseare displayed. Following the tour, ChiefJudge John L. Weimer and FormerLouisiana Governor John Bel Edwardsspoke to the law students.%u00a0ACDBE44 WINTER 2026
