Mock Trial Champions 2026 - Sacred Heart

Sacred Heart Catholic School Earns Mock Trial Championship Title
Sacred Heart Catholic School Team 1, coached by attorneys Ward Conville, Mary Moore Conville, David Miller, and teacher Olivia Drinkwater, won the Championship Round of the Bar's Mississippi High School Mock Trial Competition, held February 27-28. The school will represent Mississippi in the National High School Mock Trial Competition May 6-9 in Des Moines, Iowa. Brookhaven High School Team 1 earned 2nd place, coached by attorney Les Baker and teacher Katie Cole. The following schools earned the remainder of the top six positions: 3rd Place – Jackson Tougaloo Early College High School, coached by attorneys Gayla Carpenter-Sanders and Catouche Body and teachers Alexandria Drake and Precious Thurman; 4th Place – Northwest Rankin High School Team 1, coached by attorney Briana Keeler and teacher Gary Matthews; 5th Place – Madison Central High School coached by Judge Staci O’Neal and teacher Jimmy Ainsworth; and 6th Place - Sacred Heart Catholic School Team 2. A special thank you to the attorney-coaches, teachers, and volunteer attorney judges who gave their time to help with this Young Lawyers Division law-related education program in its 43rd year.
